Description:
The Embroidery Sample Kit is the means to participate as a stitcher on the Plimoth Jacket Project. The kit gives comprehensive directions on the eight silk stitches used on jacket project through diagrams and pictures. Two pieces of fabric are provided. One is for the stitch samples that are sent back to Plimoth. The second is for the butterfly scissors fob for you to keep yourself.
The sample piece is used by the project staff to assign a stitcher to the jacket based on her/his strengths and not as a judging. We invite all to come stitch. Those who send one in and can’t travel to participate in the jacket can rest assured that their samples will be used to further the research and educational goals of the project. We anticipate using many as ‘touch-me’ samples in the final exhibition.
Many guilds have purchased the kits as programs to teach the stitches and work on the little butterfly project, knowing that they have helped fund this wonderful endeavor.
Kit Contents:
50 ct linens, Au Ver a Soie Soie Perlee, palliettes, needles, instructions for the stitches (20 pages) and for the butterfly fob, CD Rom with color photos.

$20 of each kit goes to Plimoth Plantation as restricted funds for the Jacket Project
