Description:
The Dutch Huswif is worked on 40-count sandstone linen with Au Ver a Soie Soie d’Alger threads. Each panel is reminiscent of motifs and detailing from Dutch samplers, a particular favorite of mine for their elaborate alphabets and tree of life motifs. Finished as a huswif with salmon colored silk with a variety of pockets, pincushions, and holders inside.
We are sorry that this kit is no longer available. We have retained one kit from a shop who was kind enough to resell us the kit. This kit will be auctioned at a later date to raise additional funds to support the preservation, display, or research of historic embroidery.
