Flame Stitch Pincushion

This Needlework Nibble project was inspired by the small pincushion inside the Martha Edlin Casket. Worked in a different flame stitch pattern, but in similar colors, it makes a very fast and easy on the eyes project for summer! It is worked on 24-count Montrose Linen and backed with silk velvet. The example is in blue silk velvet but for those wanting a backing, I am offering it in pink, burgundy, and blue. The project uses Soie Paris silk threads from the Cabinet of Curiosities Kit 1 for the stitching.

Visit the shop for a piece of 8"x8" linen and a backing of silk velvet or an entire kit if you don't already have the silks in your stash!
