Description:
This needlework set adds a bit of gold to the embroidery
and counted work. The basket is formed by couching a period correct
antique gold thread. Small oes or spangles are sewn along the vine to
give a bit of sparkle. Many 19th century samplers added a small
amount of these valuable threads to enliven the effect.
Kit Contents:
40 ct linen with tracing and mounted on stretcher
bars. Au Ver a Soie Soie Paris threads, gold threads, oes, silk
finishing fabric, leaf mother-of-pearl buttons, silk ribbons, all
other finished materials, instructions and CD Rom showing finishing
and embroidery in process.
